About the event
Strong leadership in early learning begins with strong relationships — and some of the most important relationships in a program are the ones built with families.
Leading with Parents is the first workshop in our Leading with Purpose leadership series for childcare professionals. This one-hour online session is designed for centre directors, program leaders, operators, and educators stepping into leadership who want to strengthen their approach to parent communication and family partnerships.
In this workshop, we will look at how to move beyond surface-level communication and build genuine, relationship-based partnerships with families. We will also explore how to handle difficult conversations with greater confidence, navigate conflict professionally, and communicate across cultural and language differences with more clarity and care.
Grounded in the realities of the Alberta early learning sector, this session is practical, honest, and immediately applicable.
In this workshop, we will cover:
• The family-provider partnership framework
